MINORITY ACCESS RECEIVES GSA SCHEDULE CERTIFICATION

Provides Minority Access Preferred Vendor Status in doing Business with Government

May 1, 2013

Hyattsville, MD - Minority Access announces its certification from the United States General Service Administration (GSA) to provide services to the Federal Government, eligible state and local governments and other institutions as a preferred supplier under GSA Schedule 738-X for Human Resources Services and Equal Employment Opportunity Services. The certification, awarded under Contract Number GS-02F-136AA, simplifies the process for government agencies to contract services through Minority Access. Without posting public bids, Federal agencies government contractors and others utilizing the GSA Schedule may contract Minority Access as a sole source provider with the assurance of discounted pricing.

In its mission to deliver the best value in real estate, acquisition and technology services to government and the American people, GSA oversees the business of the U.S. Federal Government - the largest consumer of products and services. The GSA Schedules program is the premier acquisition vehicle in government. Services can be ordered from GSA Schedule contractors directly or online from GSAAdvantage® and eBuy. As a GSA Schedule Contractor, Minority Access will be listed on GSA e-Library at www.gsa.gov/elibrary.

“Having a stellar record of providing quality services to federal agencies and colleges and universities was key to our receiving this nationally respected certification,” said Andrea Mickle, president of Minority Access. She further states, “The GSA vetting process weeds out organizations with questionable practices. We are pleased that Minority Access is now recognized as a government preferred provider.” The organization's structure, capability and performance history were evaluated meticulously to determine its suitability to provide services to government entities and their contractors.

Minority Access, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that provides services and technical support in diversifying campuses and work places, has a network of 170 colleges and universities, including major research universities, community colleges, professional schools, Hispanic serving institutions (HSIs), historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and tribal institutions (TIs).
