MINORITY ACCESS
ASSOCIATES PROGRAM
The
Associate Programs for colleges and universities or
departments/schools offer a prepaid package of benefits and
services at substantial discounts to support the research
efforts and diversity programs at academic institutions.
Recruitment efforts, directed particularly toward talented
underrepresented students, are assisted by college recruitment
fairs at Minority Access' National Role Models Conferences,
advertising in Minority Access' publications, and hyperlinks on
Minority Access' Website. Access to Minority Access' unique
database of high performing students, priority in nominating
Role Models to be honored at Minority Access’ National Role
Models Conference, participation in Minority Access-sponsored
research seminars and inclusion in Minority Access' internship
program are other benefits of the package.
Colleges
and universities and/or departments/schools therein have the
flexibility of subscribing to one of three different Associate
Packages: Standard, Elite or Premier. Standard and Elite levels offer substantial but limited
benefits of the program. Premier participants are entitled to
the most comprehensive list of services of the Minority Access
Associate Program, including in 2008, one representative in the
Minority Access delegation to China to observe firsthand China's
diversity policies in coping with its fifty-five nationalities.
Finally,
Minority Access now provides an opportunity for any
individual to manifest his/her--or a friend's--support of its efforts
by becoming an Individual Minority Access
Associate.
